PM Announces New Measures To Contain COVID-19

Prime Minister, the Most Hon. Andrew Holness, on Tuesday (December 7), announced changes to the measures aimed at containing the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The new measures will become effective on December 10 and end on January 14, 2022.

Barbados PM named UN’s 2021 ‘Champions of the Earth’

UNITED NATIONS (CMC) — The United Nations has named Barbados’ Prime Minister, Mia Mottley, among four women for its 2021 “Champions of the Earth” awards.

The others are The Sea Women of Melanesia, from Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands; Ugandan scientist Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka; and Maria Kolesnikova, an entrepreneur from the Kyrgyz Republic.
