YOUNG SUGAR BOYZ WIN PRACTICE MATCHES VERSUS BVI


The Young Sugar Boyz continued their preparation ahead of their Concacaf U-15 Championship
qualifier later this summer, with two friendly matches recently against the British Virgin Islands
at the SKNFA Technical Center. St. Kitts and Nevis won both matches, winning 2-1 in the first
match.

Warner Park gears up to host International Competitions in August

After the recently successful conclusion of the St. Kitts Music Festival in July, the Warner Park Stadium is currently undergoing transformation to host two international competitions in August. The CONCACAF Caribbean Club Shield is slated for August 3rd to 13th at the Warner Park Football Stadium. This football tournament will feature our local SL Horsfords St. Paul’s United Football Club.

TRAFALGAR SOUTHSTARS ARE 2023 DIVISION 1 CHAMPIONS

Trafalgar Southstars are the 2023 SKNFA Division 1 Champions after holding out for a 1-1 draw against Mantab at St. Mary’s Park in Cayon, enough to win the title by two points. Mantab, despite not losing a game all season, failed to get the much-needed win to lift the title and will have to play the ninth-placed Premier League team Garden Hotspurs in the relegation playoff to try and win promotion to the Federation’s top-flight domestic football.

It means that Trafalgar Southstars are the Division One League Champions

Mantab has placed 2nd and will have to play HE Garden Hotspurs in the 9th place vs 2nd place Mantab for a chance to play in the Premier Division or remain in Division 1 next season.

CONCACAF CLUB SHIELD FAST APPROACHING

The St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) is gearing up to host Caribbean football’s biggest club tournament this summer: the Concacaf Caribbean Club Shield slated for August 3- 13. The Warner Park Football Stadium and the SKNFA Technical Centre are the venues for the competition, which will see 15 Caribbean football clubs duking it out for the most coveted prize in regional club football.
