FIVE TEAMS EARN WINS IN PREMIER LEAGUE RESUMPTION

The National Bank Group of Companies Premier League resumed recently after the international break with wins for SL Horfords St. Paul’s United, DBSKN St. Peters FC, Azul Cayon Rockets, MFCR Old Road United Jets and Tropical Blossom Hotsprings Bath United. On Friday Old Road dispatched of defending champions Rams Village Superstars 3-0. Tiquanny Williams who was suspended for several matches, returned for the first time this season and scored the third goal for Old Road.

SECURITY FORCES FC SECURE PREMIER LEAGUE PROMOTION

Security Forces FC have been promoted to the Premier League after earning a narrow 3-2 win over KFC Trinity/Challengers United on Wednesday at the NBGC Technical Center in St. Peters in SKNFA Division 1 action.  Dion Dolphin, Evansley Fahie and Dennis Phillip were the goal scorers for Security Forces in the 6th, 31st and 58th minutes respectively. Tyrone Grant and Cavid David led the fight for Trinity/Challengers.

SUGAR BOYZ EDGE THE BAHAMAS 1-0

The Sugar Boyz picked up their first win of the World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-0
victory over The Bahamas at Warner Park on Tuesday June 11. The match played before a near
sold-out crowd, saw Ethan Bristow heading the ball into the back of the net in the 12 th minute.
The home side generated numerous chances but despite failed to capitalize. Coach Francisco
Molina while disappointing the team did not score more goals, still considered the result a good
one. “It is frustrating but it is three points at the end of the day. We could have made a statement
today. We did not. We missed two to eight chances,” Molina said.
