T&T strikes gold in Men’s 4x400M at Worlds 

Trinidad and Tobago fans cheered and cried tears of joy as the country’s four athletes – Jarrin Solomon, Jereem Richards, Machel Cedenio and Lalonde Gordon brought home gold in the Men’s 4x400M relay at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London.

The team sealed the deal with a new National Record and World Leading time of 2.58.12, beating the USA’s team who finished second with a time of 2.58.61, and the UK, who placed third with a time of 2.59.00.

The Office of the Prime Minister also issued congratulations to the team for their amazing performance.

St.Kitts & Nevis Amateur Athletic Association(SKNAAA)

Sprint Legend and the fastest 40 year old in history Kim Anderson Collins has been elected to the IAAF Athletes Commission.

The St.Kitts-Nevis Hero led all with the most votes of any of the 15 Candidates  vying for the 6 positions on the Commission.

Collins garnered 798 Votes  which was 107 more than Germany’s Thomas Rohler who received 691 Votes .

It was not the fastest 400m of Usain Bolt’s career (his lifetime best will go down in history as 45.28, dating back to 2007) but it was a landmark circuit for the Jamaican who has illuminated track and field these past nine years with his superhuman talent and his stellar personality.
Twenty four hours after his final race ended in the anguish of a torn hamstring on the anchor leg of the 4x100m, the Jamaican phenomenon was back on the track in the London Stadium, soaking up the adoration on a fitting farewell lap of honour at the end of the final session at the IAAF World Championships London 2017.
