St. Kitts & Nevis Amateur Athletic Association (SKNAAA)

Published 22 May 2017

Meet Tajarie Arthurton, the Federation’s newest sprinting sensation.

Hailing from Gingerland on the sister island of Nevis, he migrated with his family to the state of Florida approximately two (2) years ago. Now a Junior at Homestead Senior High School, Tajarie’s athletic ability is increasingly growing his popularity as one of the standouts on his school team.

He is now a member of Team St. Kitts and Nevis’ CARIFTA Contingent with the bragging rights as the fastest Under 18 Athlete in the country for the 100m and 200m. He is already a World Under 18 qualifier for the sprint double having previously clocked 10.79 and 21.87 seconds respectively.

Prior to departing to the USA, Tajarie attended the Gingerland Secondary School and was coached by Mr. Timothy Caines and Mr. Shirmon Caines of the Titans Track Club.

We look forward to him joining his teammates in Curaçao to compete in the 100m and 4X100m.

Make us proud Tajarie! ????
