6-0 win over the BHS Stormers in their inaugural match on Saturday 19 th October, 2024, in the
Jones Group Ltd Schools Football Competition at Warner Park.

Friday 18th October, 2024-Jones Group of Companies Under 14 Males Football Championships Match Day 1

At Warner PArk

Basseterre High School and Verchilds High School levelled

Basseterre and Verchilds High Schools played out an instant Jones Group of Companies Under 14 Football classic as it ended 4-4. Eden Hamm score 2 goals in the 29th and 31st minustes and one each from Jurani England (11th minute)  and Lajarni Byron (25th minute) for Basseterre High School. Cajani Burnham in the 30th minute, Jahmari Lewis in the 41st, Kaiden Caines in the 59th and Ezekiel Perdereaux in the 70+3mins for Verchilds High School. Jones Group of Companies Ginseng Up Player of the Match was Ezekiel Perdereaux of Verchilds High School.

YOUTH LEAGUE FINALISTS CONFIRMED


The finalists for the 2024 Keith Gumbs U17 Tier 1 League and the Rams U13 Premier
Youth Cup have been decided after exciting semi-final encounters. In the Keith Gumbs
League semi-finals on Thursday October 10, Dieppe Bay defeated Newtown United 2-1.
Dieppe Bay took a 2-0 first half lead, only for Newtown to claw one back late in the
second half. Newtown had a lifeline by earning a penalty in the dying moments of the
match, but the goalkeeping heroics from the Dieppe Bay goalkeeper ensured they
walked away with the victory.

OLD ROAD, VILLAGE WIN SKNFA YOUTH LEAGUE TITLES


MFCR Old Road United Jets and the Village Superstars won two SKNFA Youth
League titles recently. Old Road won the Keith Gumbs U17 Tier 2 League title and
Village won the Atiba Harris U15 League (Tier 1) title. Old Road dispatched of St. Paul’s
United 7-0, while Village Superstars got the better of Dieppe Bay 2-1 to win their
respective crowns. Coach of the Old Road U17 team Jhevon Hendricks said after the
match that the team adapted to his playing philosophy, which helped them win the title.
“In terms of the philosophy, I’m very proud of my team because we set out a goal and a
way we want to play for this season and they executed very well. Shocked me as well,”
he said. “We did a series of work on the training ground, starting from pre-season;
working our way to our playing style, integrating different players,” he added.
