BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, April 25, 2019 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – On Thursday, April 25, Ms. Euta Hodge, a well-deserving mother of ten children, was presented with the keys to her brand new, fully furnished home at Catholic Street, Molineux, while beaming with joy as she cut the ribbon.

“We are making the dream of Euta Hodge realized today. A significant development for her and her family who suffered more than any of us in the aftermath of the two category 5 hurricanes which came our way in September, 2017,” said Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Seven, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris.

St. Kitts and Nevis engages on recognition of higher education diplomas at UNESCO

Press release, Paris, 21 March 2019

St. Kitts and Nevis’ educational diploma accreditation expert was in Paris this week to participate in the second intergovernmental meeting on the Global Convention on Higher Education Qualifications, held at the specialised UN agency, UNESCO.

Ms Trisha Francis, executive-director of the St. Kitts Nevis Accreditation Secretariat of the St. Christopher and Nevis Accreditation Board (SKNAB), has just arrived in Paris for a week-long session of this inter-governmental group. The central purpose of this session is to revise the draft Convention on recognition of Higher Education Qualifications text for presentation at high-level Ministerial UNESCO 40th General Conference early November this year.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 05, 2019 (SKNIS): International Women’s Day (IWD) 2019, which will be celebrated on March 08 under the theme, “Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change” is an occasion where the Federation will join all other member states of the international community to “pause and assess, recognize and applaud the vast contribution that women have made, and continue to make in the development of our plant,” said Minister of State with responsibility for Gender Affairs, the Honourable Wendy Phipps, in her address to the nation on March 05 to commemorate the noteworthy day.
