BASSETERRE, ST KITTS & NEVIS, MARCH 10, 2025 – In a significant move to enhance road safety enforcement, the Government of St Kitts and Nevis has established a dedicated email address, [email protected], to facilitate the confidential public submission of dash cam footage capturing traffic violations. This initiative follows the enactment of the Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Act, 2025, which empowers residents to play a more active role in enforcing traffic laws.

“BBW Well Received”— Prime Minister Drew Releases Figures
 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 10, 2025 (PMO)— The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Budget Boost Wallet (BBW) program has been widely embraced by the public, demonstrating significant impact in providing financial assistance for essential goods and services. At a recent Cabinet-wide press conference, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew shared the latest figures highlighting the program’s success.
 

Launched in January 2025, the BBW initiative offers EC$1,500 in direct financial assistance over six months to eligible individuals earning EC$5,000 or less per month. The funds are credited monthly to a digital wallet via the JAD Platform and can be used exclusively for essential expenses such as groceries, utility payments, and mortgage payments to the National Housing Corporation (NHC) and Nevis Housing & Land Development Corporation (NHLDC).

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 10, 2025 (PMO) – The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has reaffrmed its commitment to an independent foreign policy, affirming that it is not engaged in any practices related to U.S. restrictions on Cuba. 

During the recent Cabinet-wide press conference, Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas, addressed concerns about the Federation’s position regarding U.S.-Cuba relations, stating unequivocally: “We are not part of this practice.”
