SHOOTING WITH INTENT IN DIEPPE BAY BEING INVESTIGATED

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 21, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on May 21, 2019 at the home Curtis Mitchell.

Police responded to a report of gunshots being fired in the Dieppe Bay area about 11:45 p.m. last night. Investigations so far have revealed that gunshots were fired into the house by an unknown assailant. The house was occupied at the time but no one was injured during the incident.

Members from the Crime Scene Unit visited and processed the scene. Items of evidential value were taken into Police custody.

The Police are making an appeal to anyone who might have any information in relation to this incident to call the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) at 467-1887, 467-1888, or 662-3468 or their nearest Police Station. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis is pictured above at the reopening of the National ICT Centre on Thursday, February 15th, 2018.

During the reopening ceremony, Prime Minister Harris thanked the staff of the Department of Technology, the Republic of China (Taiwan) and others for their contributions toward the refurbishment of the National ICT Centre and the organization of the Cyber Resilience Symposium.  These stakeholders included Amazon Web Services, Deloitte & Touche – Barbados, Packet Clearing House and ARIN Caribbean Outreach Liaison.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 21, 2019 (SKNIS): Confirmed news reached SKNIS to the effect that a national of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. IzBen Williams, was among psychiatrists elected by the Board of Trustees of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) to be honored, and publicly acknowledged as an International Fellow, during the APA’s 2019 Convocation of Distinguished Fellows.  The ceremony was held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco, where the APA convened its 175th Annual Meeting, from 18 to 22 May.

The Board of Governors of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC) invites suitably qualified persons to fill the full-time position of Mathematics Lecturer with effect from August 26, 2019.

The deadline for the receipt of applications is Sunday, May 26, 2019. Late submissions will not be acknowledged.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from a recognized post-secondary institution. A Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution would be considered an asset, as well as successful experience in teaching tertiary level Mathematics.

Applications from qualified persons should include an application letter; curriculum vitae; police record; certified copies of official academic certificates, transcripts and other relevant documents, and two references with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.
