FORTY-SIX PARENTS IN ST. KITTS RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR EXEMPLARY WORK IN COMMUNITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 20, 2019 (SKNIS): The Ministry of Community and Social Development honoured forty-six (46) parents throughout St. Kitts for the outstanding work they do and continue to perform in communities in family building, during the Inaugural Awards Ceremony for Exemplary Community Mothers and Fathers at the St. Kitts Eco Park on Sunday, May 19.

The awards ceremony formed part of the 2019 International Family Day observance which was celebrated on May 15.

RECYCLED TYRES USED TO BUILD A PLAYGROUND
MINISTRY OF TOURISM ENCOURAGES PARTICIPANTS TO USE RECYCLED MATERIALS FOR THE 2019 NATIONAL BEST VILLAGE COMPETITION

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 20, 2019 (SKNIS): In an effort to promote environmental sustainability, the Ministry of Tourism is encouraging participants of the 2019 National Best Village Competition to use recycled materials when beautifying their communities.

Senior Tourism Projects Officer, Novelette Morton, during her appearance on “Working for You” on May 15, stated that communities can recycle materials such as old tires and used bottles for the purpose of creating art.
