BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, May 23rd 2017 – The Speaker of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly, Hon. Michael Perkins, shut down references about Chinese fugitive, Ren Biao, when Leader of the Opposition, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas questioned the commitment of the Team Unity Government to its regional and international obligations.

Dr. Douglas questioned the government’s commitment to important legislation in bringing two pieces of legislation for debate at Tuesday’s sitting when they were given a first reading 8 months ago.

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MAY 23RD 2017 – Today May 23rd 2017 marks the 39th anniversary of the death of First National Hero, Second Chief Minister, First Premier and Father of St. Kitts and Nevis’ Independence, The Right Excellent Sir Robert L. Bradshaw.

It was at 11:30 P.M. on May 23rd 1978, surrounded by close family, Cabinet colleagues, Labour Party officials and close and trusted friends, that Premier Bradshaw died at his home at Fortlands, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
