REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 21, 2017 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period March 16th – 19th 2017.

ARREST AND BAIL:
Arrested: Allister Audain of Laguerite Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, committed on March 17th 2017 at La Guerite

Arrested: Jason Liddie of Millionaire Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply

Arrested: Dexter Huggins alias Muffin of Buckleys Estate was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Malicious Damage committed on the March 16th 2017.

Arrested: Prestol Phillips of New Road Housing was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the following offences which were committed on March 18th 2017, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction, Assault and Simple Wounding.

Arrested/Bailed: Valgel Hendrickson of East Park Range was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the following offences: possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECD for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on April 3rd 2017.

Arrested/Bailed: Livingstone Martin was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECD for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 3rd April, 2017.

Arrested/Bailed: Steadroy Browne of St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECD for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 3rd April, 2017.

Arrested/Bailed: Samuel Bussue of La Gruite was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for cultivation, possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000.00 ECD for the appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate court on Monday 3rd April 2017.

Arrested/Bailed: Gavin Boddy of La Gruite was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for cultivation, possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $15,000.00 ECD for the appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate court on Monday 3rd April 2017.

Bailed: Elston Daniel of Upper Cayon who was arrested and charged for the offence of Battery committed on March 18th 2017 was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECD for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 03/4/2017.

Bailed: Adrian Connor who was arrested and charged for the following offences Possession of Cannabis and Possession of cannabis with Intent to Supply was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 ECD for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 3rd April, 2017.

Bailed: Keith Thomas of Dieppe Bay who was charge for the offence of Found in Enclosed Premises which was committed in February 2017 was granted bail by Her Worship Ms Hector in the sum of Three Thousand Dollars ($3000.00) for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on Monday 8th May 2017.

COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matter at the Charlestown Magistrate Court presided by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke, the following conviction(s) were reported:
– Caldre Chapman of Matchmans Road was convicted and fined $5000.00 to be paid in six (6) months or if in default serve twelve (12) months imprisonment for the offence of Importing one (1) .45 pistol. He was convicted and fined $5000.00 to be paid in six (6) months or if in default serve twelve (12) months imprisonment for the offence of Importing (24) twenty four rounds of ammunition.
He was convicted and fined $5000.00 to paid in six (6) months or if in default serve two (2) years imprisonment for the offence of Importing one (1) M16 Rifle. He was also convicted and fined $5000.00 in six (6) months or or if in default serve twelve ( 12) months imprisonment for the offence of Importing thirty (30) rounds of 5.56 rounds of ammunition.
He was Convicted and fined $5000.00 to be paid in six (6) months or if in default serve twelve (12) months imprisonment for making an untrue statement. If the fines are not paid, all sentences will run consecutively.

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court presided over by his honour Mr. Benjamin in following cases were heard and disposed of:
(1) Abraham Site of Frigate Bay pleaded guilty to driving without being covered by insurance and was ordered to pay $1000.00 in (14)fourteen days or if in default serve (2)two months in prison.
(2) Ruby Mavarro a student, pleaded guilty to driving without being covered by insurance and was ordered to pay $1000.00 seven days or if in default serve (2) two months in prison.

(3) Daniel Fergus of Douglas Estate was convicted and cautioned for careless driving.
(4) Mark Archibald of Lodge Village was convicted and cautioned for failing to produce his Drivers License for inspection, he also pleaded guilty to careless driving and was ordered to pay $750.00 in (1) one month or if in default serve (30) days in prison.

(5) Kimwrell Matthew of Saddlers Village who was charged for the following offences (1) Threatening and Indecent Language which was committed on January 14, 2017, (2) Threatening and Indecent Language, was found guilty for Threatening language and guilty also for Indecent language and ordered to pay a fine of $400.00 for each count by April 17th 2017 or if in default serve 30 days in prison.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search warrants Executed: Police executed a number of Search Warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Stapleton Village, Upper Cayon, Lodge Development, Laguerite Village, Buckley’s Estate, Wingfield Road (Old Road) and East Park Range. The warrants were executed in search of illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs, and instruments that can be used in criminal activity.

Armed Robbery: Police responded to a report of an Armed Robbery at Pizza Boys on Zenway Blvd in Frigate Bay. Investigation revealed that about 11.10pm on Saturday March 18, three (3) masked assailants robbed the business. The assailants took a sum of money from the register, and from the employees. Also taken were personal items such as cellphones. The scene was processed by the Forensic Services Unit and the investigation is ongoing.

House Breaking: Police Responded to a report of Burglary in Irish Town. Investigations revealed that V/C secured th home sometime between 2pm on March 18, and returned returned sometime 4.00am on March 19. Upon returned discovered the home broken into and her Acer tablet, Samsung S4 cell phone, Premier television and about $1,600.00 Eastern Caribbean Currency were missing. The scene was processed by Crime Scene Unit. Investigation into the matter continues.

House Breaking and Larceny: Police is investigating a report of a Housebreaking and Larceny that occurred at about 12:45pm in Sandy Point. The V/C reported that a unknown person broke into the house through an easterly door and stole some items and a sum amount of money ECD. Crime Scene Technicians processed the scene. Investigating is on-going.

Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A patrol of officers reported that they discovered and uprooted fourteen (14) cannabis plants ranging from seedling to four (4) feet in height at Stapleton Village.

Traffic Accidents: There were eleven (11) accidents on the federation’s roadways (8) in St. Kitts and (3) in Nevis during the period of this report.
