REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 12, 2017(RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period July 9th – 10th 2017.

ARREST AND BAIL:

Arrested: Kelroy Hazel of St. Johnston Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply which was committed on the Monday 10th July 2017 at St. Johnston Village.


Arrested: Ernesto Estevan Lawrence of Upper Monkey Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Larceny from Unattended Vehicle and Malicious Damage.

Arrested: Dwayne Freeman of Rawlins Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Smuggling of Firearm, Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. Incident occurred July 08.

Arrested: Natasha Freeman of Rawlins Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences – Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Smuggling of Firearm, Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. Incident occurred July 08.

Arrested: Watisha Browne of Cole Hill was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition, Smuggling of Firearm, Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply. Incident occurred July 08.

Arrested/Bailed: Ronel Warner of Mansion Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without a Valid Driver’s License committed Monday 10 June 2017. He was granted bail in the sum of $8,000.00 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court in District B on the Monday 14th August 2017.

OTHER ACTIVITY:
Search Warrants Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Greenlands, Fiennes Ave, Taylors Project, St. Johnston Village, Verchilds Village, Conaree, Mad House Alley and East Street (Newtown). A number items were seized including illegal drugs.

Traffic Accident: There were a number of accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report.

Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct stop and searches, vehicular check points, searches of ferry terminals and marinas and mobile patrols around the Federation. These are being done in efforts to remove illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
