High-powered team of doctors speak on several
issues at the Old Basseterre Girls School on Monday
Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 19, 2018 – Residents of St. Christopher 2 (Central Basseterre) and the environs will hear from a high-powered medical team on non-communicable diseases at the Old Basseterre Girls School on Monday 22nd January.
Dubbed: “The doctors are in the House – a conversation on health” is one of the highlights of the annual week of activities organised by the sitting St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Representative, Hon. Marcella Liburd.
Five physicians will speak on several health topics including, preventing cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure and erectile dysfunction.
“Learn about how to reduce health costs by attending. Young people who want to pursue a career in medicine can learn about the challenges from a young doctor who recently graduated,” a promo of the event stated.
The team of physicians are Dr. Garfield Alexander, General Practitioner; Dr. Terrence Drew, Specialist in internal medicine; Dr. Caroline Lawrence, heart specialist; Dr. Cuthbert Sebastian Jr, recent graduate from medical school, and Dr. Patrick Martin, Pediatrician and former Chief Medical Officer.
The interactive conversation on health will be held at 7 pm at the Old Girls School on Monday 22nd January.
