Male being questioned for murder of police sergeant
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 12, 2018 – One man is assisting police in the murder investigation ¬of Police Sergeant Dwight Davis.
According to WINN FM, police have confirmed that a person of interest in the murder of Davis is in their custody.
“WINN FM understands that the individual is reportedly a male who shares his time between Sandy Point and Nevis, and he was picked up Friday evening (May 11),” the local station said.
It said a senior Police official said at this time the man is “assisting police with the investigation.”
Police have offered a EC$50,000 reward for information n leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed the crime.
Sergeant Dwight Davis died from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
The body of the 37-year-old senior police officer was found on a dirt road in the vicinity of the railway line in Dieppe Bay by two passers-by.
