REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 18, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 16-18, 2018.
ARRESTS AND BAIL:
Arrested/Bailed: Andre Patrick Back Street, Saddlers was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on the June 04, 2018.
Arrested/Bailed: Ethon Daniel of Lower Project, Saddlers was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired License. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.
Arrested/Bailed: Jahmal Huggins of Lower Stone Castle, Tabernacle was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired License. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on June 04, 2018.
Arrested/Bailed: Adeejuah Jones of Prospects Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired License. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,500 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on May 22, 2018.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Mr. Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:
– Jason Williams of Parray Village was convicted for the offence of Obstruction and was ordered to pay a fine of $2,000 in three (3) months or, in default, serve six (6) months in prison. He was also convicted for offence of Driving a Motor Vehicle with Heavily Tinted Windows and was ordered to pay a fine of $3,000 in three (3) months or, in default, serve six (6) months in prison.
– Clive Grant of LaGuerite pleaded guilty to the offence of Larceny and was ordered to pay a fine of $5,000 in three (3) months or, in default, serve twelve (12) months in prison.
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke, the following were reported:
– Taj Wilkin of New Castle was convicted and fined $2,000 to be paid in six (6) months or, in default, serve six (6) months imprisonment for the offence of Possession of Cannabis.
– Elipha Joseph of Government Road was convicted and fined $500 to be paid in one (1) month or, in default, serve one (1) month imprisonment for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention.
– Corrie Lawrence of Cherry Garden was convicted and cautioned for Permitting to Drive Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and convicted and fined $1,000 to be paid in six (6) months or, in default, serve one (1) month imprisonment for Permitting to Drive Without Insurance.
– Carlyle Clarke of Fountain was convicted and fined $1,000 to be paid in six (6) month or, in default, serve six (6) months imprisonment for Driving Without Due Care and Attention. He was also convicted for Driving Without Insurance and was fined $1,000 to be paid in six (6) months or, in default, serve six (6) months in prison. Additionally, he was charged for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and was fined $1,000 to be paid in six (6) months or, in default, serve six (6) months imprisonment.
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties. Most recently they were done in the areas of Upper Shaw Avenue, Lower Market Street and Nevis Street.
Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Newton Ground Village, Taylor’s Village, Mad House Alley, Fort Thomas Road and St. Pauls
