REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 26, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 23-25, 2018.
ARRESTS AND BAIL:
Arrested: Uchechukwa Ukenenye was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Nigerian Driver’s Licence.
Arrested: Lindel Gonzeley of Ponds Pasture was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Larceny of Money, Larceny of Jewellery and Assault with a Firearm.
Arrested/Bailed: Ruddy Valenzuela of Dorset Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on June 07, 2018.
Bailed: Jason Thomas of Euphorbia Lane, Greenlands, who was charged for the offence of Wounding, was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
In matters at the Charlestown Magistrate Court, presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke, the following were reported:
– Jermaine Boston of Church Ground was convicted and fined $3,000 to be paid in six (6) months or, in default, serve twelve (12) months imprisonment for the offence of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
– T–Shari Hull of Burden Pasture was convicted and fined $1,000 to be paid in three (3) months or, in default, serve three (3) months imprisonment for the offence of Battery.
In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:
– Marcel Jeffers of Buckleys Estate was convicted and fined $750 to be paid in two (2) months or, in default, serve three (3) months in prison for offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention.
– Genelle Chapman of Cedar Grove, Monkey Hill was convicted and fined $750 to be paid in one (1) month or, in default, serve one (1) month in prison for the offence of Driving Without Due Care and Attention
OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers of the Anti-Gang Task Force (AGTF) reported that they uprooted eight-three (83) Marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to two (2) feet in height in the Tabernacle area.
Abandoned Properties Searched: Police continued to execute searches on properties. Most recently they were done in the areas of Market Street, Newtown, Farms Housing (Sandy Point) and Trafalgar Village.
Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Mattingley Heights, Newtown, College Street Ghaut and Mount Idle (Sandy Point).
