Douglas Says Electorate Suffering From Buyers Remorse

The general public, more so those who voted for the Team Unity government are regretting their decision to elect the Dr. Timothy Harris-led government into office. This is according to Former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas.

In his national address earlier this month, Dr. Douglas stated that a great deal of the electorate is suffering from buyer’s remorse.

This he said is as a result of the scandal-riddled, nepotistic, greedy and victimizing traits of Prime Minister Harris and his government.

Never before has the national interest of St. Kitts and Nevis been so ill-served, Dr. Douglas said, noting that in a mere three years, the country’s regional and international status and credibility has decreased tremendously under Harris’ watch.

“Team Unity under the leadership of Dr. Harris has proven time and again, that they do not have what it takes to effectively and successfully administer the affairs of this country. They were elected to office on a platform of false promises and lies. It is clear for all to see that great deception that has befallen their supporters. And they too, are crying out for change!”

He continued, “In fact, there are many of you who are suffering from buyer’s remorse when it comes to Team Unity.”

Dr. Douglas, who was re-elected earlier this month as Party Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, said that persons who have been burned by Prime Minister Harris and his colleagues, as well as those who do not condone the actions of the Unity government, are welcome to join the Labour party on its quest to remove Harris and his colleagues from government, and return justice, order and prosperity to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“We (SKNLP) welcome you all to the fold with open arms! Some of you had to see it to believe it. And many of you are not just seeing it, but feeling it too. This is no joking matter. You are our soldiers, you have a story to tell, and you have to say it. You need to reach out to those who you know have floated with Unity. Reach out and welcome them home.”
