REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 08, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period October 02-05, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL: 

Arrested: Glenroy Bye of Golden Grove Housing Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance.

Arrested: Kareem Jeffers of Ponds Pasture was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Shooting at With Intent and Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place.

Arrested: A man from Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

Arrested/Bailed: Mahendranauth Deownanan, a Guyanese national who resides at West Bourne Ghaut, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licensed and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on November 01, 2018.                                                                                                                   

Arrested/Bailed: Rafael Sanchez of Shadwell was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on November 01, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Valgel Hendrickson of New Road, St. Peters was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on November 05, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Deshaun Williams of Ottley’s Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on November 01, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Joshua Skerritt Holmes of Buckley’s Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis With Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrates Court on November 05, 2018.

COURT CONVICTIONS:

In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, presided over by His Honour Mr. Reynold Benjamin, the following were reported:

– Eugine Lawrence of Pine Garden, Shadwell Housing Development was convicted and fined $100 to be paid forthwith or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Failing to Comply With Traffic Sign;

– Kadin Jeffers of New Road Housing, St. Peters was convicted and fined $100 to be paid forthwith or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Failing to Comply With Traffic Sign;

– Grenville Rogers of Romney Ground, Sandy Point was convicted and fined $100 to be paid forthwith or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison, for Failing to Comply With Traffic Sign;

– Joseph Herbert of Lower Monkey Hill was convicted and fined $150 to be paid forthwith for Driving and Using Mobile Phone;

– Samuel Rhyner of Bird Rock was convicted and fined $100 to be paid forthwith or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Failing to Comply With Traffic Sign;

– Beon Henry of Pine Gardens, Shadwell was convicted and fined $100 to be paid forthwith or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Failing to Comply with Traffic Sign;

– Alberto Mitrell of Manchester Avenue was convicted and fined $100 to be paid forthwith or, in default, serve three (3) days in prison for Failing to Comply with Traffic Sign;

– Tollope Aribede of Lodge Project was convicted and fined $150 to be paid forthwith or, in default, served three (3) days in prison for Driving and Using Mobile Phone;

OTHER ACTIVITIES: 

 Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Unit, Special Services Unit (SSU), Anti-Gang and K9 Unit returned from duty and reported that they uprooted two thousand five hundred and forty-one (2541) marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to five feet in height from the ghaut side at Shadwell.

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed several search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: Malone Avenue, Haynes Smith Village, Lower & Upper Shaw Avenue, Salt Pond Alley, Greenlands, Ottleys and Sandy Point.
