2 VAT DAYS IN DECEMBER !!!!!!

Cabinet has approved the recommendation of TWO VAT Days. This year 2018 there will be TWO Discounted VAT RATE days . December 14th and December 20th have been declared VAT DAYS in the Federation.
For vehicles, no VAT will be applied to the first fifty thousand of the cost of the vehicle but any costs in excess of 50k will be subjected to the full VAT rate of 17%.
Participating businesses will be allowed to charge VAT at a rate of 5 percent instead of the usual 17 percent on the sale of goods. As is customary for VAT Days, alcoholic beverages and cigarettes are not eligible for concessions that will be granted on the Reduced VAT Day and that of course is for health consideration.
Services including legal fees, restaurant supplies, rent, tickets for games of chance (raffle/lottery), top-ups and phone cards, will not be eligible for the Discounted Vat Day Rates.
