POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING INCIDENT IN ST. PAUL’S

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 24, 2018 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating an incident in which a man was shot and injured in St. Paul’s.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that at about 9 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018, 38-year-old Joma Rawlins of St. Paul’s and another person were sitting on the back steps of a house when an unknown assailant began shooting at them. Rawlins was shot in the leg. He was transported to the JNF Hospital, via the Emergency Medical Service, where he was treated for his injury and discharged.

 

Members of the Crime Scene Unit visited and processed the scene. Items of evidential value were taken into Police custody.

 

The Police are making an appeal to anyone who might have any information in relation to this incident to call the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) at 467-1887, 467-1888, or 662-3468 or their nearest Police Station. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
