POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL WOUNDING IN CONAREE
Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 30, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating an incident in which a women was fatally wounded in the Conaree area. The incident occurred on Monday, April 29, 2019.
Police received a report of a body being found in a house at Conaree at approximately 5:30 p.m. The police responded and found the body of seventy-seven-year-old Constance Thompson-Gumbs lying motionless in the living room of her house with multiple stab wounds in various parts of her body.
The District Medical Officer, Dr. Maria Warner was summoned to the scene and pronounced Thompson dead. Personnel from the Forensic Unit processed the scene and took items of evidential value into custody.
A man is in Police custody assisting with the investigating into the incident. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
