VACANCY NOTICE- SENIOR INTELLIGENCE ANALYST (SIA)

The Human Resource Management Department on behalf of the financial intelligence unit wishes to invite persons to apply for the position of Senior Intelligence Analyst on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities of the posts included but are not limited to the following:

Advise the Director across a wide range of issues in financial transactions and services and their associated risks for money laundering and terrorist financing
Supervise and provide assistance and guidance to Junior Intelligence Analyst (K33-38) on their STR are cases while being responsible for own cases load of STRs
Prepare intelligence reports that are based on a comprehensive understanding of financial transactions and services and their potential to be used in laundering the proceeds of criminal activity and terrorist financing
Develop and prepare well supported recommendations for further action based on research and analysis in keeping with the legislative requirements of the AML/CFT regime and the role of the FIU
Assist with the research and development of jurisdiction specific money laundering and terrorism financing typologies to provide guidance and assistance to reporting sector on meeting reporting obligations

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The candidate should possess at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Social Science, Business or any other related discipline from a recognized University.

The candidate should possess certification in AML/CFT / CAMS/CFE or other related certification

The candidate should possess (3) years or more working experience in the anti-money laundering and countering terrorism financing field

The candidate must possess knowledge of international standards regarding AML/CFT including the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) 40 Recommendations

The candidate must be knowledgeable of legislative and policy environment within which the FIU operates and the overall AML/CFT regime locally

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills

The candidate should possess the ability to manage workflow and delegate work effectively in a team environment while developing the skills of junior staff in conducting analysis

Salary
Salary scale K39-K41 ($5,760.00-$6,310.00 per month)
