Two teams that sat out the 24th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League last year, are this year causing ripples if results from the three segments of the first round of the 25th edition of the league are anything to go by.

The league has this year attracted fourteen teams, and only Phillips Domino Club and Mansion Domino Club have won all the three games so far played. On Sunday August 2, Phillips beat Guinness Domino Club 14-12 at Cuban Bar in Lodge Project, while Mansion beat Sylvers Domino Club 13-7 at the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project.

Mansion Domino Club which last participated in the league in 2017 was one of the original teams when the league was formed in 1996. Calvin Farrell (the overall league coordinator) who is an original official and player of Mansion left the team he played with in the last few years, Sylvers Domino Club, and helped revive Mansion. It is captained by Abraham Davis.

Phillips Domino Club only participated in four segments of the first round last year and dropped from the league. This year, Allington Berridge who played for former champion Unity Patriots Domino Club decided to support the team from his home village, and today he is the captain of Phillips.

In other games, at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux, Unstoppable Domino Club beat Christchurch Domino Club 14-8, and Giants Domino Club beat Molineux Domino Club 13-11. Tabernacle Domino Club, which also did not take part in the tournament last year, shocked former champion Unity Patriots whom they beat 13-10 at the Tabernacle Police Station.

Two of the scheduled games were not played on Sunday and have been rescheduled. Defending champion Parsons Domino Club will meet former champion Lodge Domino Club on Tuesday August 4 at the Tabernacle Police Station from 4:30 pm, while Small Corner Bar Domino Club will meet Saddlers Domino Club at the Lodge Community Centre on Wednesday August 5 at 7:00 pm.

Three teams are yet to win a game so far. These are Sylvers Domino Club, Molineux Domino Club, and defending champion Parsons Domino Club although the team has a game at hand which will be played on Tuesday August 4.

Fourth segment of play in the first round of the 25th edition of Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League will be held on Thursday August 6 with all games starting at 7:00 pm.

At the Tabernacle Police Station the two teams from Constituency Number Six, defending Champion Parsons Domino Club and Saddlers Domino Club, will come up against each other, while Tabernacle Domino Club will face Guinness Domino Club.

The unbeaten Phillips Domino Club will face Christchurch Domino Club at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux, as will former champion Lodge Domino Club who will face Molineux Domino Club.

Three games have been allocated for the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project, but due to the strict Covid-19 protocols being observed, one of the games will be shifted to the neighbouring Cuban Bar.

The games will feature, the unbeaten Mansion Club coming up against Unstoppable Domino Club; Sylvers Domino Club against Giants Domino Club; and former champion Unity Patriots Domino Club who will face Small Corner Bar Domino Club.

At the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex pavilion in Molineux, Giants Domino Club beat Molineux Domino Club 13-11. Keithly Blanchette of Giants is seen in action.
