PHILANTHORPIST DR. JONES ADOPTS PRIMARY SCHOOLS


Basseterre: St. Kitts, Thursday, October 27, 2022:​ On Tuesday, October 25, Jessenia Jones
Managing Director of Jones Group Ltd presented the Minister of Education Hon Dr Geoffrey
Hanley with a generous monetary donation on behalf of Dr. Duanne Jones. In a brief visit to
the office of the Minister of Education she explained that the financial donation will be
distributed to both the Irish Town and Tucker Clarke Primary Schools that were recently adopted
by the enterprise.

The appreciative Minister Hanley, stated


“I really want to thank you and the entire organization and of course Dr. Jones in particular.”
Giving insight into the intended use of the donation, the minister revealed,
“I have also given instructions to the principals that this money is not to be put on any bank
account. This money must be invested directly back into the schools.”


The minister emphasized that the students must benefit from the donation immediately as it was
given with their advancement in mind.


Dr. Duanne Jones, a Kittitian by birth, born and raised in Mc Knight, has been contributing
significantly to the development of sports and education throughout various communities in the
twin island state. In 2011 he adopted the Dr. William Connor Primary school.
