TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN BEING INVESTIGATED
Basseterre, St. Kitts, February 04, 2023 (RSCNPF): Investigations into a traffic accident in which a pedestrian was injured have led to an individual being arrested and charged.
Sometime after 8 p.m. on February 01, 2023, the Police responded to a report of a traffic accident that occurred along the F.T. Williams Highway. The accident involved motor SUV P4482 which is owned by Ellecia Dasent-Hendrickson of Basseterre, but was being driven by Ian Bolus of Station Street, Old Road and pedestrian Nigel Browne of St. Johnston Avenue. The circumstances are that the driver of P4482 was traveling West and Browne was crossing the street when the collision occurred. Browne was transported to the JNF General Hospital via the Emergency Medical Service where he was treated for his injuries. He suffered a fractured knee and multiple bruises about the body.
During their investigations, the Police found Bolus to have committed the offences of Driving Without Insurance and Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s Licence for which he was charged on February 02, 2023.
