2023 Text Books & Uniforms Back To School Bookle
Malcolm X said “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepares for it today.” May this school year be the best ever!”
Consumer Affairs Department encourages all parents/guardians to shop carefully and wisely during their back to school shopping. Purchasing items for school can be very expensive especially uniforms and textbooks. Our Department has once again taken the initiative by collecting prices for textbooks and
school uniforms to assist you. Please make wise choices when purchasing textbooks and school uniforms.
“Consumers – please take note prices are subjected to change without the knowledge of our Department and this is only a guideline of the price range for the textbooks and school uniforms.” When seeking textbooks, there are several methods to choose from. Some methods would obviously save you more money than others, but each comes with its own set of sacrifices.
The options are:
1. Buying new or used books.
2. Seeking assistance from family/friends to see if the required textbooks are in their possession.
3. Join the Government owned Student Education Learning
Fund (SELF) Programme.
The government initiative Student Education Learning Fund (SELF) is geared towards ensuring each child is given the opportunity to receive and achieve a high level of education regardless of their social or financial circumstance. This is done by providing each primary & secondary school child with the appropriate textbook in order to facilitate their learning.
Books are prone to be torn and damaged if we don’t take good care of them. In this rainy season, it has become all the more necessary to take care of books to extend their life.
