SECOND ROUND OF ELVIS BROWNE WOMEN’S LEAGUE IN FULL GEAR


The second round of the SKNFA Elvis Star Browne Women’s League resumed recently with
some exciting results. MFCR Old Road United Lady Jets hammers Queen City in Nevis 10-0 on
Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Nevis Athletic Stadium. The match between Bath United
Ladies and Cayon Ladies did not happen as Cayon did not show up.


Meanwhile, midweek football action at the SKNFA Technical Center saw Newtown United
Ladies crushing Village Superstars women’s team 10-0. Christi-Ann Mills scored five goals,
while Omeara Delaney, Katelyn Forbes, Kadedra Henry, Sharema Blake, and Shameka Isaac
scored a goal each to round out the huge victory.  After the match coach of Newtown Shashi
Isaac said despite the win, the team is still not playing at its peak. He, however, noted that he has
to manage his players’ minutes, especially those who will be featuring for the Senior Women’s
National team in the upcoming Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup qualifiers. When the second round
resumed on Saturday, September 9 at Warner Park:
