In a significant event held today, (Thursday, January 25, 2024), at the Joseph N. France General Hospital (JNF), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) made a notable contribution by donating an Electroencephalogram (EEG) Machine. This crucial equipment will significantly enhance the capabilities for diagnosing and effectively managing neurological and mental health disorders within the Federation.

This generous gesture aligns with the Ministry of Health’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare services for the citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis, and to advancing the operational efficiency of the JNF General Hospital.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including the Prime Minister and Minister of Health, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew. He was accompanied by several key health officials: Jenson Morton, Director of Health Institutions; Lindsey Maynard, Director of Operations; Assistant Matron at the JNF General Hospital, Sandra Lestrod-Caines; Kerry Williams-Tuckett, Matron at the JNF General Hospital; Dr. Alberto Laguna, Neurologist at the JNF General Hospital; and Glenroy Blanchette, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office. Representing PAHO and overseeing the donation was Anneke Wilson.
