HAMILTON SHOOTING INCIDENT UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION
The Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Hamilton, Nevis, on April 23rd, 2024, between 5PM and 6PM. The incident left Lavington Forbes of Hamilton nursing a single gunshot wound to an arm. Preliminary investigations have revealed that Mr Forbes was accosted by an armed assailant while standing near his home. He escaped the attack and was transported to the Alexandra Hospital shortly thereafter by a private vehicle.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. An investigation into the incident is under way and updates will be appropriately provided to the public.
