SECURITY FORCES, SANDY POINT REMAIN TOP TWO TEAMS IN DIVISION 1


Jones Group Sandy Point FC continues their good run of form in the SKNFA Division 1 league
with a come from behind 3-1 victory over Molineux FC on Wednesday June 5, 2024 at the
NBGC Technical Center in St. Peters. Ossie Bute gave Molineux the lead in the 11 th minute but
Dequan Joseph, Deshaun Collins and Kori Phillips each scored for Sandy Point in the 62 nd , 68 th
and 7 th minute of stoppage time to give Sandy Point the win. Physio for Sandy Point Kenny
Douglas, said his team stuck to the game plan and delivered the three points.


“It was a very good game especially in the second half. We came here and decided we have to
play our game,” Douglas said. “In the first half, we played Molineux’s game, so to speak, but
definitely in the first half we played our game and scored three brilliant goals,” he added.


In prepping for their next match, Douglas suggested the team will take some time to relax on the
beach and then watch film of Dieppe Bay Eagles to strategize for the upcoming encounter. “We
are going back to the drawing board. We have Dieppe Bay next week so we are going to look at
videos of Dieppe Bay, devise a plan against Dieppe Bay and come back and maintain that. Our
goal is to go back to the Premier League,” he said.


Also, on Wednesday Security Forces FC maintained their lead at the top of the table with a 2-1
victory over Conaree Fireball International. In other results: Rivers of Living Water won by
default over Trinity/Challengers on Monday June 3, Saddlers United dispatched of 607
Construction Lodge Patriots 4-1 and TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles drew 1-1 with Mantab on Tuesday
June 4 th . The SKNFA Division 1 league continues next week.

Action between Molineux and Sandy Point in the SKNFA Division 1 League on
Wednesday.
