Semi-finalists already lined up in Constituency Number Seven Domino League
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, October 12, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Even with one segment of play still outstanding in the second round of the round-robin stage in the 23rd edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition, four teams have unassailable leads that have landed them slots in the semi-finals.
Champions Lodge, and immediate past champions Unity have been joined by two teams that fought back strongly in the latter part of the second round to be semi-finalists in this very exiting domino league. Parsons Domino Club which is one of the two teams from Constituency Number Six has made it to the semis after a three-year hiatus, while Unstoppable Domino Club has reached the semis for the first time since it was formed five years ago.
In the twelfth segment played on Thursday October 12, two teams that have already reached the semi-finals battled it out for supremacy in Cuban Bar, Lodge Project. Home team Unity had the upper hand when they beat Unstoppable 13-8. Sylvers collected a 13-0 walkover win after Phillips failed to raise a team in a match that was supposed to take place in Tacky Bar, Hidden Alley Lodge Village.
Another two walkover wins were registered on Thursday evening. Beers collected a 13-0 win over Saddlers of Constituency Number Six who failed to honour their playing assignment in Bernette Bar, Hidden Alley Lodge Village. The match between semi-finals qualifier Parsons and Christchurch due to have been played in Domino House, Mansion Village did not take place as the home team was missing in action giving the visitors from Constituency Number Six a 13-0 win.
The Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project was the venue of two matches where defending champions Lodge beat Giants 13-10; and Small Corner Bar beat Molineux also 13-10.
