Hurricane Jose
A Tropical Storm Watch is still in effect for Hurricane Jose, a category 4 hurricane. On the forecast track, the center of Jose will pass near or east of the northeastern Leeward Islands on Saturday. Tropical winds expected Saturday 4 a.m. and last until Saturday 10-11 p.m. Winds in the 45-50 MPH with rainfall 2-4.”
Although this hurricane may not track as close to St. Kitts as Irma, please do not be complacent. Prepare and stock up on supplies again. Our university hurricane plan is still in full readiness, and we urge students to continue to make their own storm preparations for Jose.
We understand that some students may wish to shelter at campus, in the Student Union or one of the classrooms, from Friday night.
