Thousands Get Wet and Wild at Independence Wet Fete
The Nevis Culture Village was full to its capacity on Friday night as thousands showed up for the second wet fete.
Patrons were treated to exciting performances by the Kollision Band, the Nu Vibes Band, the Kore Band, Akaii and Mr Bagnall and the Grand Masters Band.
Host of the night, EK the Real Right, and the Hell Fire Sounds kept the crow partying between the acts.
The highlight of the event was however water. Fire truck hoses kept the crowd soaked all night and they partied, danced and even swam until long after 6am.
Wasim Richards, promoter of the event, in a post on Facebook thanks all for making the event an success.
“First of all I would like to thank god for hosting a safe and successful event because without him nothing is possible secondly I would like to thank all the fans that believed in me for pulling off this event words cant express how I feel the entertainers man you guys are bosses, to my security teams both Officer Boon and Wayne I thank you for keeping the peace I would also single out my system team Glen,David and the whole Q Sound and last but surely not lease I would like to thank my booth owners that believed in me to pull of this great show. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!!”
Richard also revealed that the Independence Wet Fete would be an annual event noting that he has more ideas and intends to work towards adding them to the Nevis night life.
