POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING INCIDENT IN TABERNACLE

UPDATE: Dean Boddie passed away at about 2:05pm today, Aug 2. The police is now conducting a homicide investigation.


BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, August 2, 2024. At approximately 10:25 pm on August 1, 2024, the police received and responded to a report of a shooting at Tabernacle Village.


Preliminary investigations revealed that Mr. Dean Boddie was walking through the playing field in Tabernacle Village shortly after 10:00 pm when he was approached by an assailant who fired several shots at him. Despite sustaining multiple gunshot injuries, Mr. Boddie managed to evade his attacker and collapsed near the Tabernacle Primary School.


He was transported to the JNF Hospital where he underwent emergency treatment. Mr. Boddie remains in the Hospital in critical but stable condition.
