NEWTOWN HEALTH CENTRE HOLDS SECOND ANNUAL CDSMP GRADUATION CEREMONY
Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 11, 2018 (SKNIS): After a 6-week Living Healthy Workshop for the Chronic Disease Self-Management Programme (CDSMP) hosted by the Newtown Health Centre for community members, 11 participants celebrated their achievements with a graduation ceremony on December 6.

The 11 graduates were Amorelle Samuel, Beverly Prentice, Clyve Archibald, Elvis Morton, Hyacinth Cabey, Jovanna Casey, Kishma Duncan, Lynette Foster, Natasanna Morson, Sonia Liddie and Vida Maynard.

THE APPROPRIATION (2019) BILL, 2018, SET FOR DEBATE IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, December 11, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The National Assembly of St. Kitts and Nevis is set to meet on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at which time the Draft Estimates for 2018 will be laid before the Federal Parliament and The Appropriation (2019) Bill, 2018, will be debated.

The Appropriation Bill is designed to support and strengthen the implementation of various plans and programmes of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis for the upcoming financial year, commencing January 1, 2019, and ending December 31, 2019.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 11, 2018 (SKNIS): Seven ships will make first-time visits to St. Kitts in the 2018/2019 cruise season. The Norwegian Jade, which docked at Port Zante today, December 11, 2018, is one of them.

More and more cruise liners are adding St. Kitts as one of their top destination stops. According to stakeholders in the tourism industry, this is good news for the island, as it signifies increasing growth in the economy that redounds to the benefit of the entire country.
