Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 12, 2018 (SKNIS): Secretary General of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), Bernadette Lewis, while speaking on the September 12 edition of “Working For You”, said that a number of critical issues, key developments and trends in information technology will be discussed at the 17th Caribbean Ministerial Strategic Information and communications technology (ICT) Seminar from September 26 –27. This seminar will be a part of the ICT Week of Activities in St. Kitts and Nevis to be held at the St. Kitts Marriott and Royal Beach Casino from September 24 – 28, 2018.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 12, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Ministers of Government used the early part of their day today, Wednesday, September 12, to visit schools in the rural parts of St. Kitts, where they impressed upon thousands of primary and secondary school students the significance of the Federation’s Independence, while also encouraging them to exercise patriotism year-round.

POLICE SEIZE LARGEST AMMUNITION AND SECOND LARGEST FIREARM FIND IN THE FEDERATION

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 12, 2018 (RSCNPF): Three (3) persons are in custody following the largest ammunition and second largest firearm find in the Federation.

Police conducted an operation in Keys Village Wednesday (September 12) morning. While approaching a premises in the area they saw four (4) males in a yard. The men began running when they saw the Police approaching. The Police pursued. While chasing the persons, one (1) individual threw what appeared to be a bag over a wall. Upon inspection, the bag contained what appeared to be pistols and a large quantity of ammunition. During the chase of another individual, Police came across another bag. Upon inspection, the bag contained what also appeared to be pistols, a quantity of marijuana and a large amount of assorted ammunition.

Police Find Bag With Guns and Ammunition in Keys area.

Not the actual guns and ammunition’s found

Police on Wednesday discovered a bag containing several guns and a large quantity of ammunition in the Keys area.

Reliable source revealed that the bag contained at least 3 handguns and multiple bags of ammunition.

Several persons were taken into custody in relation to the find.

Buckie Got It made a few calls into this investigation and will provide more information as it becomes available.
