BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 3, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris has said that his Team Unity-led administration feels a sense of elation that it has been able to help more than two thousand former workers of the St. Kitts Sugar Manufacturing Corporation (SSMC) in securing benefits that were denied to them under the former Denzil Douglas government.

 My Fellow Citizens and Residents,

It is my great honour as Prime Minister of this beautiful Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis to encourage you to participate in the National Day of Prayer and Fasting this Monday, September 3rd, 2018.

My Government has designated the first Monday in September as a special day of prayer, to set the tone for our 35th Independence anniversary, which is being commemorated this month under the theme: Love, Service, Patriotism and Pride, Independence 35.

GOVERNMENT MINISTERS PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER DURING CABINET MEETING

 

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 3, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Reverend Dr. Calvin Hazel, Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, led members of the Team Unity administration in a powerful prayer session during a formal meeting of the Cabinet, as a sign of their participation in the National Day of Prayer and Fasting, being observed today, Monday, September 3, 2018.

It is the hope of the Government that this special day of prayer will serve to inspire and elevate in all of us faith, hope and love in and for God.

Back-to-School: PLP’s Byron-Nisbett partnering with parents in Constituency #Three

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, September 3, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — When the two primary schools and a number of pre-schools and day care centres in West Basseterre open their doors Monday September 3, first day of the 2018-19 academic year, some 340 children will have added value to their school life.

A partnership between Senator the Hon Akilah Byron-Nisbett, Constituency Number Three Peoples Labour Party (PLP) Branch Executive Chairperson, and parents and guardians of the Dr William Connor and Bronte Welsh Primary Schools, pre-schools and day care centres in West Basseterre has seen pupils attending those institutions being properly equipped and geared up for the new school year.
