SENIOR MINISTER AMORY COMMENDS 34 NEW GRADUATING POLICE OFFICERS
Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 19, 2018 (SKNIS): The manpower executing security operations of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force during the Christmas and Carnival Season in the Federation has been increased following the agency’s 41st Graduation Ceremony held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

The thirty-two male and two female recruits of Course 42 were congratulated by Senior Minister, the Honourable Vance Amory, who delivered the feature address at the graduation ceremony on behalf of Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, who could not attend due to the ongoing Budget Debate in the Federal Parliament. The Passing Out Parade, as it is popularly known, was held at the Police Training Complex.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 19, 2018 (SKNIS): Leader of the Opposition, the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, is in the spotlight again in the National Assembly. This time he is not being ejected, as he has on several occasions for bad behaviour, but he is being asked by the Speaker of the Housethe Honourable A. Michael Perkins, to apologize to a government media worker.

Fernando Hope, an employee of the Government, who works as a photographer at the Department of the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) was “contemptuously chastised” by Dr. Douglas for taking his photograph during the National Assembly on December 18.

NEW FORENSIC DIRECTOR SAYS SHE IS READY TO WORK

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 19, 2018 (RSCNPF): The new Forensic Director of the Forensic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force was introduced to the rank and file at a Commissioner’s Lecture Wednesday morning (December 19).

In her introductory remarks, Mrs. La Toya Lake-Marshall said that she was extremely proud to be appointed as the Forensic Director. And, although she only recently arrived in the Federation, she made it clear that she was ready to work. Mrs. Lake-Marshall hails from Antigua and Barbuda. However, she disclosed that she is passionate about serving the federation as she has close ties to the island of Nevis through her Grandmother who is Nevisian.
