GOVERNMENT AND CHURCH LEADERS RING IN THE CHRISTMAS SEASON WITH TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

 

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, December 10, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Members of the Federal Cabinet joined officials from the faith-based community on the evening of Sunday (December 9, 2018) for the 4th annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at East Independence Square in Basseterre to help ring in the yuletide season and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

His Excellency the Governor General, Sir Tapley Seaton was given the honour of flipping the switch to turn on the Christmas lights.

PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS ON UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE IN ST. KITTS AND NEVIS CONCLUDE ON MONDAY (DEC. 10)
Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 10, 2018 (SKNIS): The St. Kitts and Nevis National Commission for Universal Health Care (SKNNCUHC) will host its final town hall-styled public consultation tonight, Monday, (December 10) at the St. Peters Community Centre. It begins at 7 p.m.

Over the past four weeks, members of the SKNNCUHC have met with residents and citizens in their respective communities to share information on the proposed coverage outlined in the Green Paper for Universal Health Care for the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Peace and security: Government has collaborated and cooperated with the Church

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, December 10, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — The Federal Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has in the last three years made a pointed effort to collaborate and cooperate with the church for the country to have a restoration of the peace and the security among its people.

Senior Minister and Minister of Ecclesiastical Affairs, the Hon Vance Amory, made the remarks on Sunday evening December 9, at East Independence Square in Basseterre, at a ceremony held to mark the 4th annual Christmas tree lighting organised by the Immaculate Conception Co-Cathedral.
