Team Unity Administration updates country on second cruise pier’s progress

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 5, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Construction of a second cruise pier is a feat that was considered impossible in the social economic life of the country, but Team Unity Administration has however managed to move the project into its construction stage at Port Zante. In keeping with the full transparency that had been accorded in the selection and choice of parties to participate in the programme, the Government is updating the country as to what is happening.

KITTS, August 5, 2018 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — The annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition whose 23^rd edition opened on Thursday July 19 has a new team from Phillips Village, but the overall number of team remains at fourteen as Mansion Domino Club dropped out after it failed to raise enough players.

MR. STANLEY V. FRANKS, LONGEST-SERVING COMMISSIONER OF POLICE,

TO BE LAID TO REST THURSDAY WITH FULL MILITARY HONOURS

Mr. Stanley V. Franks, the longest-serving Commissioner of Police (1980 – 1993), will be laid to rest with full military honours on Thursday, August 9^th, 2018. He died last Friday evening (July 27^th) at the age of 79.

The funeral service will take place at the Wesley Methodist Church located on Seaton Street just off of Victoria Road in Basseterre, St. Kitts from 2:00pm, with viewing and tributes being held between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.

The Defence Force Band and Drum Corps will provide musical accompaniment for the funeral procession. There will be a Bearing Party to shoulder and carry his coffin, a Firing Party to fire volleys of blank cartridges at the Springfield Cemetery, a Colour Party to carry the flag of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, and a Mourning Party comprising of members of the Police Force, the Defence Force and other disciplined organizations.
