INLAND REVENUE DEPARTMENT MOVES INTO JOHN GUMBS BUILDING, A MORE SPACIOUS AND ACCESSIBLE LOCATION

 BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 25, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The Inland Revenue Department, a critical revenue collection agency for the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, has moved its operations across the street from where it was to the John Gumbs Building on the Bay Road, Basseterre, effectively offering customers a more spacious environment and accessible service.

NATIONALS IN THE DIASPORA ENCOURAGED TO PLAY A GREATER ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ST. KITTS AND NEVIS

 BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, June 25, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis living abroad have an important role to play in the promotion of sustainable development in the twin island Federation.

That is one of the key messages that will be echoed throughout this week, as hundreds of Kittitians and Nevisians living abroad return home to participate in the inaugural Diaspora Conference from June 26-28 at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. The conference will be held under the theme, “Building Partnership Towards Sustainable Development.”

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Khalifah Liburd of Buckley’s Development was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Disorderly Conduct by Fighting.

Arrested: Davil Francis of Buckley’s Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Fighting.

Arrested: Neville Fahie of Newton Ground was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Failing to Comply With Traffic Pedestrian Signal showing the diagram of an upraised hand and for Making Use of Indecent Language.
