Friday’s search party failed to find missing Priston Flemming

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 10, 2018 – A search party on Friday failed to find any trace of missing Newton Ground resident, Priston Joel Fleming.

A reliable source said the search party comprised of family members, villagers, and members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force.

She informed that the search party combed an area stretching from Old Road to Half Way Tree but failed to unearth any sign of the 22-year-old, five feet and seven inches tall, heavy build and brown eyes and light complexion .

She said no dogs were used as “police stated the dogs are not trained to look for people, only guns and drugs.”

Police said Flemming was last seen by a family member on Tuesday, February 27 in the Old Road area wearing a white polo T-shirt and short dark khaki pants.

A senior police officer said he was also spotted on February 28 in Verchild’s.

Flemming was said to be one of two persons in passenger bus “Black Beauty” when the driver,

Kevin ‘Broadie’ Newman was murdered on the night of November 1, 2014.

The fatal shooting incident took place along the island’s main road between Dieppe Bay and St. Paul’s.

Fleming reportedly escaped when the other passenger attacked Newman in the robbery attempt.

Although one person was held for questioning no one was formally charged.
