Airports in Anguilla, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Beef Island, BVI; reopen; no firm date for St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 2ND 2017 – Several of the islands in the Eastern Caribbean whose airports were devastated in varying degrees by recent hurricanes Irma and Maria, have announced the reopening or possible reopening dates of their national airports.

Bad start to St. Kitts’ 2017/2018 cruise ship season
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 2ND 2017 –Bad news for cruise ship stakeholders in St. Kitts.
With the official start of the 2017/2018 cruise ship season on Sunday, October 1st, two Carnival cruise ships scheduled to visit St. Kitts’ Port Zante this week have cancelled their calls.
On Monday 2nd October the St. Kitts Tourism Authority said that Carnival Splendor has cancelled its call to Port Zante on Wednesday 4th October and the Carnival Fascination its call on Friday 6th October.

Carnival, Princess and MSC cruise lines make adjustments due to devastation of more popular ports in the Caribbean
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 30TH 2017 – With the closure of nearby cruise ports in St. Thomas and St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Dominica and St. Maarten, devastated by the recent hurricanes, not many ships seem to be coming to St. Kitts’ Port Zante or Nevis’ Port Charlestown, looking at the new itineraries posted by Princess Cruises, Carnival and MSC Cruises, although further adjustments are possible.

Flight disruptions due to Hurricane Maria
ST JOHN’S – Hurricane Maria is currently on a north westerly track through the region, and will cause flight delays and cancellations throughout LIAT’s network as we seek to ensure passenger and crew safety.
