Allure of the Seas cancels several calls to St. Kitts’ Port Zante

BASSETERRE, ST.KITTS, AUGUST 28TH 2017 – The Allure of the Seas, one of the world’s largest cruise ships, has cancelled several calls to St. Kitts’ Port Zante.

The Allure of the Seas, then the world’s largest cruise ship, first visited St. Kitts on December 30th 2011.

Renewed UK Travel Advisory on St. Kitts and Nevis warns of murder, armed robbery and sexual assault

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, AUGUST 21ST 2017 – The United Kingdom Government has renewed without amendment its travel advisory on the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

“Most visits are trouble-free, but there have been incidents of crime including murder, armed robbery and sexual assault,” said the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London in renewing and re-issuing the Travel Advisory on August 18th 2017.

LIAT adding Guyana airport fee to ticket price

LIAT and the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority have agreed that effective September 1, 2017, the airport Passenger Facilitation fee will be included in LIAT ticket price.

Adult passengers travelling internationally will be required to pay the fee of GY$3600 (US$18), while children aged seven and under will be charged GY$2400 (US$12).

LIAT Goes To Court To Get Pilots Back in the Skies

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Friday June 9, 2017 – With pilots continuing strike action that has forced the cancellation and delays of flights across the region, LIAT has decided to turn to the court for help.

Management of the airline has filed an application for a court injunction to end the strike that began on Wednesday as pilots refuse to fly LIAT’s ATR 72 series aircraft without additional compensation.
