DIABETES DOES NOT INCREASE RISK OF PERSONS CONTRACTING COVID-19
Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 30, 2020 (SKNIS): Chief Medical Officer Dr. Hazel Laws said that according to a journal article published in the Lancet on July 17, 2020, diabetes does not increase the risk of a person contracting COVID-19, however, patients over 60 with COVID-19 and uncontrolled diabetes have a poorer outcome.

SIXTEEN OF THE SEVENTEEN CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES IN ST. KITTS-NEVIS HAVE NOW RECOVERED

ST. KITTS-NEVIS RED CROSS SOCIETY HOLDS DISASTER MANAGEMENT TRAINING WORKSHOP
Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 28, 2020 (SKNIS): In preparation for the peak of the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season, the St. Kitts and Nevis Red Cross Society, in collaboration with stakeholders including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is hosting a five-day disaster management training workshop at the Red Cross Headquarters in Basseterre.
