Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 15, 2018 (SKNIS): The Department of Youth Empowerment will host its 3^rd Annual Island-Wide Bike Ride on Sunday, November 04, as part of the activities for Youth Month 2018.

The family-oriented event has grown significantly since it was introduced as it represents a way for families to bond, friends to socialise or challenge each other, and individuals to get a good workout. Whatever the motivation, the consensus from participants is that the event is fun-filled.

The month of Older Persons in St. Kitts and Nevis is observed every October, which is an extension of the United Nations official celebration of International Day of Older Persons celebrated on October 01 annually.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 24, 2018 (SKNIS): Pesticide Awareness Week, which is being celebrated in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis from September 23^rd to 28^th under the theme “Increase Food Safety, Reduce Dependency on Pesticides-Adapt Integrated Pest Management (IPM)” will highlight the efforts of increasing food safety measures in the Federation.

In addressing the nation to commemorate the launch of Pesticide Awareness Week 2018, Minister of Agriculture, the Honourable Eugene Hamilton, said that the safety and well-being of the consumer is the government’s utmost responsibility and goal.
