GRANDSON CHARGED FOR DEATH OF HIS 82 YEAR-OLD GRANDMOTHER

 

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 08, 2018 (RSCNPF): On June 07, 28-year-old Michael Nicholas of Ponds Estate was formally arrested and charged on a Warrant, in the first instance, for the offence of Murder. He was charged for causing the death of his 82-year-old grandmother, Bernice Iona Nicholas, at their home in Ponds Estate on June 03.

An autopsy earlier concluded that she died as a result of mechanical asphyxia due to obstruction of the airway.

WORK OF CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATORS STEADILY PROGRESSING

 Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 07, 2018 (RSCNPF): The Forensic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has been making strides in several of their investigations.

 The department recently moved to a new facility which is housed on the premises of the Tabernacle Police Station. The facility is outfitted with some of the latest technology and, leading up to its opening, the staff had their skills upgraded as crime scene investigators, fingerprint examiners and forensic laboratory technicians. Several highly trained regional and international facilitators hosted a number of sessions that ran for almost eight weeks consecutively to prepare them for their larger roles.

Only PM Harris can issue a Diplomatic Passport, not CIU or Canadian Bank Note, Dr. Douglas reiterates

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 6, 2018 – Leader of the Opposition, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is insisting that Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris must tell the nation whether he had issued a St. Kitts and Nevis Diplomatic Passport to UK property tycoon Peter Virdee.

Speaking during his weekly radio programme “Ask the Leader” on Tuesday night Dr. Douglas said Prime Minister Harris “must stop dance around the issue” and not mislead the country by telling them what others have said to him.

Arrested: Clifton Grante of Upper Market Street, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Document.

Arrested: Marlon Anthony Henry of Soho, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Uttering a Forged Document.

Arrested: Tarique Lopez of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of throwing Missiles and Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon to wit a metal object and a Machete.

Basseterre, St. Kitts, June 05, 2018 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of arrests, convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 26- 29, 2018.

ARRESTS AND BAIL:

Arrested: Marlon Huggins of Market Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for Uttering a Forged Jamaican Driver’s License.

Arrested: Sottmon Nisbett of St. Johnson Avenue, Basseterre was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Simple Wounding.

Arrested/Bailed: Ni-J Liburd of Fothergills Road was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Driving Without Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on June 12, 2018.

Arrested/Bailed: Quindra Estridge of Upper Cayon was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Robbery. She was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for her appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018 with the following bail conditions: (1) she is to keep 100 feet away from the Virtual Complainant and is to reside elsewhere; (2) the Police are to assist in removing the her clothes and shoes and to give them to the her.

Bailed: Marlon Huggins of Sandy Point who was formally charged for the offence of Forgery was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.

Bailed:  Maluska Williams of Lodge Project who was formally charged for the offence of Forgery was granted bail in the sum of $7,000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on July 02, 2018.
