THIRD HEARING THIS WEDNESDAY IN CONSTITUTIONAL MOTION TO DETERMINE 

WHETHER DR. DENZIL DOUGLAS IS DISQUALIFIED FROM NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

 

 

Tuesday, May 29th, 2018

This Wednesday, May 30th, 2018, the third hearing will take place in the constitutional motion brought by the Attorney General to determine whether Dr. Denzil Douglas, the Leader of the Opposition, is disqualified from membership in the National Assembly.

The case is based on the fact that in July 2015 Dr. Douglas applied for and obtained a Diplomatic Passport from the Commonwealth of Dominica. The said Passport describes Dr. Douglas as a citizen of Dominica. Dr. Douglas has also admitted to using the Dominican Passport for travel.

ST.KITTS RESIDENTS EXPRESS OUTRAGE AT OPPOSITION ORGANISED VANDALISM OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY. CALL MADE FOR VANDALISM LEGISLATION

Citizens and Residents ON St.Kitts  have been expressing their  outrage at what seems to be a organised and well coordinated effort to meticulously vandalise and deface government properties. Over the last 2 weeks a number of structures have been defaced with Grafitti  exhibiting anti-government  messages. The vandalism began at approximately the same period of an  Opposition Leader Dr. Denzil Douglas led press conference in which PRIME Minister Dr. Timothy Harris was asked to resign based on unsubstantiated and “hear-say” statements in a UK Court document.

Young man peppered with bullets, escapes death

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 26, 2018 – A young man from Cayon escaped death Friday night when he was peppered with gun shots.

Although much detail is not available, a reliable source said Saturday, Javed Daniel suffered injuries.

He received bullet wounds in his stomach, side and left shoulder.

Police are carrying out investigations.
