Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 29, 2018 – Mounting speculation that 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton, was murdered before the body was dumped close to the control tower at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport.

“..We need justice. He never do anything. He was kidnapped Friday and tortured and found behind the airport…” said a family member in a posting send to Washington-based Nevisian blogger Everton “Obi” Elliott.

Father says son “brutally murdered”

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 28, 2018 – A St. Kits businessman said Sunday his 23-year-old son Shaquille Pemberton was “brutally murdered.”

“I just called to share some sad information with you all. I guess you all heard about the young man that they found at Gillard Meadows on Saturday. Unfortunately it’s my son… was brutally murdered,” said Nigel Arthurton in a voice note to friends in a chat group.

Body of 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton “appears to have injuries to the chest”

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 28, 2018 – St. Kitts and Nevis seems to have murder number three for 2018 on its hands.

According to a statement from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, the body found in the Gillard Meadows area on Saturday night “appears to have injuries to the chest.”

BODY OF YOUNG MAN FOUND, POLICE LAUNCH INVESTIGATION

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 28, 2018 (RSCNPF): The body of a young man believed to be in his early twenties was found in the Gillards Meadows area Saturday afternoon (January 27). The body was discovered by a passer-by who reported it to the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services, who then reported it to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police. The body had, what appeared to be, injuries to the chest.

He has since been identified as 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton of New Road.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing and more information will be disclosed as it becomes available.
