(BBC) The UK will leave the EU at 23:00 GMT, ending 47 years of membership.

In a video message to be released an hour earlier, Prime Minister Boris Johnson will call Brexit – which follows more than three years of political wrangling – a “new dawn”.

(UN News) After a nine-year long cholera outbreak in Haiti that killed close to 10,000 people, this week the country reached the milestone of an entire year free from any new cases of the deadly waterborne disease.

Powerful earthquake hits between Cuba and Jamaica

JAN. 28, 2020 11:32 AMHAVANA —  

The U.S. Geological Survey says a powerful magnitude 7.3 earthquake has struck south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica.

It was centered 117 kilometers (73 miles) northwest of Lucea, Jamaica.

It’s not immediately clear if there are damage or injuries.

Koffee has become the first solo female to cop the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album at the 62nd ceremony for the coveted music awards. 

Koffee, 19, took home the Grammy for her debut album,Rapture

On accepting the award, she thanked her fellow nominees for their contributions to reggae and declared her win a victory for reggae and Jamaica.

The awards are now being presented at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
